(Short Blog) Youth. The fruit of your loins. But their opinions are not held at the highest regard, are they? No, many would deem their thoughts as immature, inexperienced, and have this "teen angst" cloud fogging up around them. The whole "oh they'll get over it when they grow up" crap isn't something we really like. It does work both ways though, miscommunication is blamed upon both parties: the child and the adults.
But I'm going to focus on the teen part here. I despise being sorted into this "kid" category and living in a world where people have this amazingly wild idea that my age determines how high my understanding, or how extensive my space of thought is. I can't help but become angry when somebody assumes I'm a certain somebody and that's when all of the stereotypes come into play even more. Their ideas about what I am are strengthened and a means of communication is not established because I for one, am just pissed off. Angry plus angry doesn't equal a good outcome. There's nobody to blame here, but ignorance and lack of understanding. Sometimes, our worlds are just too different. With age, people seem to develop something else besides genitalia growth and body hair, and that thing I'm speaking of is arrogance. What should one do? Well you can start off by removing what presumptions you had about your child's opinion or action and by stepping off your adult high horse. No, I do not assume that you are arrogant, but sometimes this quality just shows through and it's not even intentional. It's just the age difference that has somewhat caused this. I need to say that my thoughts and ideas are just as valid as the next person's, even if they are however many years older. If they are seemingly out of line, then just explain your thought process and what your opinions on the subject are. There's no need to completely write something off without thorough clarification of WHY you would do such a thing. It's rude and you'll just get a "wtf" and a total disregard of your idea out of the person you're talking to. That was exactly the "arrogance" I was speaking of.
Treat us well, we are the future.

Well I agree cause age is something people use to piss others off just cause they think they're more superior cause of numbers on a paper. That's how people feel about sex and race too. White people think theyre the best, men think theyre the best, older people (not elderly, but like middle aged) people think they're the best. Hence, with this evidence, we can clearly say that Middle-Aged White Men think they're indeed the superiority of this race we call Humanism. Is this stereotype true? We'll just haveta wait and see
I forgot!
but some older people actually have a right to be "arrogant" cause that's there title in life. Throughout the years, kids have always been meant to be called stupid and although this stereotype affects me and others as well, I still believe it to be true. Us kids are sometimes way over our head. We don't respect ourselves, each other, older people, property, etc, etc. This doesnt apply to every single kid out there, but so many little obnoxious children have acted this way throughout the past, present, and of course, the future, the older generations can't do anything but watch and judge.
